BASE 5G is a new research and innovation project funded by the Lombardy Region and coordinated by Politecnico di Milano (Departments DEIB<\/span><\/a>, DESIGN<\/span><\/a>, MECC<\/span><\/a>, DASTU<\/span><\/a>) and a pool of Lombardy companies (Vodafone<\/span><\/a>, LIFE<\/span><\/a>, AnotherReality<\/span><\/a>, Yape<\/span><\/a> and AKKA<\/span><\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n

The project focuses on the research, design, prototyping and testing of the new use cases “Smart Parking, Smart Direction, and Smart Personal Bubble<\/i>“, connected to 5G technology in the Smart Cities and Smart Campus areas.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The objectives of the BASE 5G project operate on two different levels. The first one intends to explore, identify and define the various design processes\u2019 elements necessary to ensure a vertical integration of 5G technology with IoT platforms, in order to support the development of product-service systems in sectors such as mobility, logistics and the management of people flows in urban environments.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The second level is instead linked to the specificities of each individual use case, their design and testing activities in relation to the use of 5G technology. Within the project, Polifactory is responsible for the co-creation and co-design phase, as well as participate in the protyping and experimental phase of the solution.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
