Design\u00a0Now<\/b>\u00a0is a program of open and collective project activities promoted by the School of Design and by the Department of Design of the Politecnico di Milano and the\u00a0Consorzio POLI.design<\/strong><\/a>, with the support of Polifactory, the collaboration of the\u00a0Triennale di Milan<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and the patronage of the\u00a0Cumulus International Association<\/strong><\/a>. This program is aligned\u00a0to the international exhibition of the XXI Triennale\u00a0and focuses on a\u00a0concrete experimentation centered on one of the main themes of the exhibition: how the paradigm of distributed production changes the classic articulation of roles and approaches that the design has practiced and taught in its recent history.\u00a0\u00a0The goal\u00a0of the initiative is to involve the main schools of Italian design and international cuisine in a path of exploration of this key-theme for the evolution of the society and the discipline.\u00a0The program of activities, entirely developed at the\u00a0School of Design and\u00a0inside Polifactory, includes three project activities:<\/p>\n

A\u00a0JAM \u2013 \u201cWhen\u00a0Production\u00a0goes into\u00a0the city\u201d
\n<\/b>It is\u00a0centerd\u00a0on the relationship between service design and new production and distribution models. It took place on 20th and 21st May in 6 different cities: Milan, Pamplona, Madeira, Pune, Medellin, Leeds. From this Jam were selected the participants to the Summer\u00a0School.<\/p>\n

A\u00a0SUMMER SCHOOL \u2013 the \u201cFab City:\u00a0Designing Products\u00a0and Services for Urban\u00a0Resilience through\u00a0Manufacturing\u201d
\n<\/b>40\u00a0participants\u00a0\u2013 30 selected through an international call and the remaining 10 through the Jam\u00a0\u2013 will work on the theme of\u00a0urban resilience reached through the distributed manifacture inside the\u00a0Fab Cities. This phase was held from 8th to 16th July at the School of Design \u2013 Politecnico di Milano and Polifactory.<\/p>\n

An\u00a0EXHIBITION<\/b>\u00a0where all the projects developed within Design\u00a0Now\u00a0will be staged in a show included in the program of the XXI Triennale, during September\u00a02016, with a closing event dedicated to the\u00a0theme of\u00a0urban resilience\u00a0and\u00a0manufacturing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
