In 2010 The<\/strong> Economist<\/strong> devoted its cover to\u00a0\u201cdeluge of data<\/a>\u201d\u00a0(the\u00a0Deluge Date<\/i>) which threatened to overwhelm businesses and governments that had not taken seriously the phenomenon and had not taken adequate countermeasures. The deluge has arrived, but the feeling is that the potential inherent in the many data that we have at our disposal\u00a0\u2013\u00a0and increasingly also ourselves we produce\u00a0\u2013\u00a0is still largely unvoiced. The technologies for digital fabrication\u00a0now allow\u00a0to represent in multisensory way the digital datum, that we can\u00a0then\u00a0see and touch in on the aspects\u00a0more\u00a0dynamic.<\/p>\n

From\u00a0Mind\u00a0To Reality\u00a0<\/b>is\u00a0a project\u00a0of experimentation that has explored the theme of data representation through the manufacturing processes digital.<\/p>\n

From 2 to 6 May 2016\u00a0Polifactory\u00a0together with\u00a0Density\u00a0Design<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0have\u00a0organized a workshop, supported by\u00a0Fondazione Politecnico<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and financed by\u00a0Fondazione Banca Nazionale delle Comunicazioni<\/strong>, that has involved 50 students of the School\u00a0of Design at the Politecnico di Milano:\u00a0students of the\u00a0Master of Science Degree in Communication Design\u00a0<\/b>and students of the\u00a0bachelor in Design &\u00a0Engineering.<\/p>\n

The results of the workshop\u00a0are\u00a010 projects\u00a0that explore\u00a0different\u00a0forms of relationship between data and digital manufacturing:\u00a0enhance the physical size and\u00a0l\u2019<\/span>interaction\u00a0tactile also with the given greater empathy and an assimilation easier and more profound\u00a0the value of data, stimulate\u00a0new behaviors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
