Fonica. A system for vocal imprints recognition in shared environments.
New technologies and devices that populate our lives are becoming the founding element of people’s daily lives. Physical and virtual interfaces have become the new ‘assistants’ of man and this relationship opens up new fields of reflection for design. Initially focusing on the importance of human voice and the technology that man has developed by studying it, this thesis has born out of the will to fully exploit the enormous potential that sound recognition of an individual’s voice imprint can offer. This feature is one of those uniqueness that distinguishes the individual person and can become a declinatory tool in the most varied contexts. One of its most important requirements is that monitoring an acoustic signal of an environment can recognize an individual among many. This feature becomes interesting if designed in high density environments and where it is imperative to minimize the risks.
